Welcome to my new weblog, a chronicle of stuff related to researching, writing, and teaching History. I'm Alan MacEachern. The specific reason for my starting this blog just now is that students in History 500-501, the Public History courses I teach, will be blogging this year. The more general reason is the feeling that bits of what I daily notice, think, and read are dribbling away, and some of them, to me, are worth saving, for me.
